Happy Birthday to us! As we begin our third year as both an online magazine and nonprofit impact organization, there is so much that is on my mind. We'll exceed one million server requests for this ezine website that you're reading now, probably late January. Our cookbook has been a success, and if you don't have one, you need to order - they're wonderful! www.createspace.com/3716198

One of our Winds Scholars holds an important position at the Heard
Museum in Phoenix, Arizona and is now one of our Board of Directors. Another Winds Scholar is working hard at becoming a teacher for the People's children. The stories in this issue, as always, have deeply touched my heart and I know they will do the same for you. I have an incredible Board of Directors who are all volunteer, and work so hard to make the visions of Whisper n Thunder reality. We have begun to develop amazing partnerships at all levels - we are all about collaboration! And I am beyond words that we launched a nonprofit in these economic times and thanks to you, our readers, as well to those who have given so much, we've made it. Indeed, we begin our third year with much hope.

But what is first and foremost on my mind are the rez families who are currently experiencing the harsh winter cold. As I write this to you, just a few days before the dawning of 2012, together, we have given the gift of heat to 25 families which totals 100 people in those 25 families. That's something. I know that more applications will come in. I know that we will come to you again and again, asking for your help with the EREZ Fund so we can buy more propane. None of us want anyone to be cold. Or hungry. Or without the basic necessities in life. Last year, the year we launched the EREZ Fund, we helped 5 families. This year, 25 and counting. Together, we have made a difference. For an Elder. For a mom. For a child. And we will continue to do so. All...because...of...you. Your generosity has made all that we do possible. We are incredibly grateful.

We thank you for your continued support of all initiatives of Whisper n Thunder, from our magazine to our scholarship program to the EREZ Fund and our health initiatives.

Empowerment. Impact. Collaboration. Bring it on 2012. We're ready for you.
